Jac inches short of dong number two

I’m as pumped as anyone to see Jac turn into an all-star type, let alone an MVP type of player, but the realistic/cynic side of me has just seen this shit too many times for me to go “all in”. But **** me…. As I mentioned before…. If Jac turns into the real deal that we’re all hoping for, having him and BWJ in the lineup during their prime years is gonna cook. And that’s gonna be a lot of fun. If he can play a competent RF, and if Salvy has enough in the tank for another all-star type season, plus a few more solid years, plus Vinnie, potentially Massey, MJ, Maikel and India…. We just might have something special. |
I hope the bottom is Aaron judge because judge sucks when itmatters most. We need a Big Papi type of bat

Future generations will settle their differences at the Jac Caglianone statue

His record didn't last long cause it was broken the next year. By Jac Caglianone! Real issue is gonna be his K-rate. I fear he could end up being Joey Gallo 2.0. But that's his absolute floor sir! |
Peak Joey Gallo averaged 4.0 WAR, 40 HR’s and around 200 K’s per year. I’d take that considering he’d be slotted in a lineup behind India, Witt and Vin. LOT of RBI opportunities there.
I mean, obviously I’d prefer a better comp. than Joey Gallo, but if that’s all we ever get then I can live with that. |
I been thinking Gallo too but that has to be his floor. right?
.194 career average for Joey |

Last year in the SEC he had one of the lower K rates of the conference leaders in OPS. This is after cutting it almost in half from the following year. His strike out rate was around 20% last year in his first year ever of using a wooden bat and actually was on the lower end of everyone on the Quad Cities team. Compare that to Blake Mitchell who K'd 35%, Nivens 27% and Jensen at 22%. Alex Gordon also had a 20% Milb strikeout rate so not worried about the swing and miss. |
