Broncos/Bengals (didn't watch it, so I'm only guessing)
And then, uh....

this is the end of every season, idk why people are acting like this is anything new. most of the games by the last few weeks are tire fires, then there's like 2 or 3 insane games.

displacedinMN 12-29-2024 03:51 PM

Only one game on here. But I did not pay for Sunday ticket again this year.

I guess you could call the Bengals Broncos game entertaining, but it was a long way from great football.

Ever watch the NFL before? That's how all last weekends go. A couple teams clinching divisions and a couple teams trying to get that last playoff spot.

**** yourself, chump. You only think it’s a good thing because your trash team benefits from the suckage

Green Bay is the better overall team IMO.

Two very evenly matched clubs.

I think GB could sneakily be the best team in the NFC, they’re certainly much more well rounded than Detroit anyway

Guess I don't measure the league's overall awesomeness by the Week 17 box scores. The NFL offers a level playing field to all 32 teams. Some franchises seize that opportunity while others do not/cannot. The vast majority of betting lines are low to medium single digits, so it's at least generally pretty competitive. Most weeks contain multiple wild games that end with high drama. I love it. And I loved it back when my team was awful. Just seems like the opposite of anything even resembling a "shit product".

Relax dude. We all love football. Let me be more clear then

The overall product of NFL football in 2024 seems worse than it has in a long while. Not counting the Chiefs and a few other teams, most QBs and head coaches seem woefully lacking in the skills to be good at their jobs. I would prefer better play overall, since I enjoy football.

The ratings keep going up and up each year and the biggest complainers about the league keep watching each week.

Okay, I will recall the report I just finished typing up and sending to the fan police.

That’s correct. Nothing will change because no one (including me) will stop watching. But I can bitch about the quality when it’s poor. I did not know the NFL needed such defending.

Oh except for next week. I will not be watching outside of the Chiefs game. There simply will not be enough meaningful games to watch.

Yeah, in another thread it was discussed there are typically ~4-6 teams under .300 and there are currently 9 (and the Saints are .313). And it hasn't made the league top heavy, it's just given a bunch of ~6-9 win teams an extra win or three, which makes a bunch of mediocre playoff teams look a little better in the standings.

The fact the Chiefs absolutely **** around in the regular season and can still win 15 games should be an obvious point about the quality of the league... a team without two of their best receivers most of the season, down their game 1 RB1, down to a 3rd string kicker at one point, playing a RG at LT.

Much less the other 1 seed going almost two entire seasons without playing more than a few other teams with 10+ wins.

There's so much bad football being played this season, and we're all here just waiting for mid-January when the shit league is trimmed down to the top 4.
