Surprised I missed this nugget of sheer stupidity. Yes, each sport allows for title game rematches. No, only 1 sport makes you earn the right while 1 awards it in a beauty contest vote.


I suppose that explains why people love one system and hate the other. Why one has almost zero controversy vs endless.

Who are the good teams?

Initially the KU fans said very little about the embarrassing loss to Alabama on Saturday and many (myself included) were quick to congratulate MU on winning the SEC East.

Much of that good will from KU fans was destroyed by MU fans over the playoff teams chosen by the committee as an outlet to continuously try and rip the Big 12.

Exposing MU's football team for only having beaten one team with a winning conf record in 3 years was going to go by quietly until the first stone was cast over the past couple days.

Division 1 College Football is the only sport in America that choses it's champion by people based mostly on what the front of the jersey says.

It's a wonderful place to watch prospective NFL talent but getting overly invested in your team winning it all (besides the top 10 or so programs) is futile.

It's a nice narrative, irregardless of the accuracy.

Pretty much all of the Mizzou fans on here and everywhere else around the country recognized we didn't stand a chance against Alabama on Saturday. It would have taken an incredible amount of luck and things going our way to pull off the upset, which would have been a monumental one. They're the best team in the country for a reason.

And, yes, most Mizzou fans will be pulling for Alabama in the playoffs. Unlike the Big 12, who prefers to squabble and argue amongst themselves, we actually pull for our conference in Bowls and post-season play. The better they do, the better they make everyone else look. I would think Big 12 fans would understand that by now.

But apparently you all are too busy cutting off your own nose to spite your face. Whatever gets you your jollies, I guess.

It changes from year to year, so as to fit the narrative appropriately.

KU fans see that as a loser mentality.

That's the biggest difference between our fanbases.

You will never be great if you are encouraging your rivals/opponents to win.

The more Alabama wins, the harder it is for you. This is why KU Basketball does everything they can to keep their rivals down. Kentucky is the final entity that KU still needs to conquer.
