I tend to text message someone to make sure they're not busy before calling them.

my texts usually encompass the conversation without the hassle

Me: hey you busy? we should go do something

Them: nothing lets

Me: pick me up 30 mins

saved me like 5 mins of bullshit on the phone to about 45 sec

there is another one TV - Television

I never texted until I acquired a girlfriend who lived 4 hours away and had 3 kids. I like texting slightly more than I like talking.

It is just easier...you can multi-task while texting and there is no akward moment when you have nothing left to say you just stop texting

I agree with a conversation like that. If I feel like talking for a few minutes though, I'll shoot them a text just to see if they're busy. I hate calling someone just to have them ask if they can call me back.

zactly (there is another) I still have to make calls to my mom and other family members but friends usually get the text treatment

I've been having problems deciding when I'm going to sleep lately. Sleeping in shifts, which makes me feel basically like shit all the time. I woke up yesterday at 5 am. Decided at 3 pm I need to take a catnap, woke up at 8:15. :shake:

Fell asleep again at 11, up for good at 2 frikkin am.

I've also been doing a lot of thinking lately, which doesn't help with sleep.

Simply sleep doesn't work for me. My problem is that I get my circadian rhythm reset, then work gets bad and I end up getting flipped around again (up at night is normal for me, but I want to be up during the day...).

Work and relationship contemplation.

Still a video editor. I've finally decided to quit bitching about being overworked and underpaid, so I'm about to change my billing practices. Which is going either going to result in getting paid more, or losing my primary client.

I don't nuke anything but soup, popcorn, bacon and hot dogs.

Hot dogs are surprisingly good, because it both cooks the dog and steams the bun.

I prefer the consistency of it nuked. It's closer to what you get baking bacon (if you've ever baked bacon). It's well-cooked, but not particularly crispy or charred. If you have a tray, the grease drips away from the bacon, as well.

luv 05-15-2007 02:38 AM

I actually found some ground chicken at the store yesterday. I don't know what I'm going to do with it yet. I'd just never seen it.

I also bought a bottle of wine called Pink Truck. I recently acquired a wine rack to hang on my wall, so I bought a couple of bottles of wine to put in it.

Bacon should be crispy. Who wants a flimsy piece of meat?

Although, frankly, if it's going into a sandwich or a burger, than I do want it to be flimsy. I especially dont' want crispy bacon in that circumstance.

It's not flimsy. It has a solid consistency. I tend to think of it as bacon cooked perfectly. Done enough so that the nasty fat isn't gooey, but not burned and crumbly.
