It wouldn't surprise me if this is true on the streets of LA. (Minus the Mizzou exception, of course)

Maybe if it wasn't such a clearly inferior product to college football in almost every way imaginable, more people would be able to name college basketball players.

He doesn't want to be a HC anymore. Plus he said he feels at home in Ames like he did at Kansas. Not to mention his son is coaching with him and all their family moved here. They are happy where they are.

Your homer has reached knowmonian levels

In actual conference realignment news, there's apparently an important court case coming up with Maryland, the ACC and ESPN involved that could impact GOR agreements and the like.

Just watched the 30 for 30 on the big east. They essentially blamed foot all for diluting their brand and then eventually destroying the league. Some kernels of truth in there but they didn't address the main point: many of those schools are small fries that should never have been associated with Syracuse in the first place. The only reason they were was because they and Pitt and WVU and Miami were ok being independents in that sport.

Why on earth would those schools ever want to be with Providence and St Johns and DePaul? They're now with peer schools and peer markets. Realignment has for the most part made sense, with the exception of maybe WVU in the Big 12.

He's already 57. It's pretty common for coaches when they get older to not want the head job anymore(in similar situations where they were already demoted) Or for teams to not want to hire older guys for the head job.

That doesn't make my statement any less true

Quick, name me any player from Mizzou.

"Well, I uh, I'm not sure, I can't think of any right off the top of my head. WAIT! Didn't that gay guy go there?"

Chase Daniel was literally the first player that came to mind. Unlike you, I don't obsess over Teh Gayz, so Sam isn't really that huge of a deal to me besides being a somewhat historical figure.

There are a few other names people might know, if they've watched football a couple of times the past couple of years...
The Smiths in San Fran
Maclin
Witherspoon
DROY from last season Sheldon Richardson
Ziggy Hood
William Moore

But, you know... No NFL fan has heard of any of those guys.
