probably anyone

**** it, right?

Get Utley as quick as you can. I dont think he should cost the royals any major piece in the minors

Royals becoming bigger story than Chefs post draft...

Saul Good 05-05-2013 08:28 PM

Who here would undo the Myers/Shields trade?

CaliforniaChief 05-05-2013 08:29 PM

Yep, go get him now. Philly doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell.

Ask me in 2015

Hos and Moose have to step it up bigtime. They've been terrible at the plate. Our hitting with risp is winning games

I'm asking now.

Why? This trade won't be analyzed in one month. I'd sure hope we'd be ahead one month in and taking on $13 million in salaries. Odorizzi did start today and contribute to a no hitter

CaliforniaChief 05-05-2013 08:47 PM

I'm happy with the trade. Pitching is king, and Shields is a kick-ass pitcher. I'll feel much better if we can add 2 years to his deal.

Jerm 05-05-2013 08:47 PM

I can't see us going after Utley but you talk about an ideal fit...wow...

Because evaluating trades with the benefit of hindsight is pointless. People bitched up a storm a couple months ago. Nobody seemed to need two years to evaluate it then. Why now?

Fair point, but it's easy to sit and deem it a success at this moment, as our beloved Royals are on a roll. I still don't like the trade for the future, but I knew it would make us better in the short term, so I'm loving the best case scenario happening on cinco de mayo, 2013.

Love the trade, Myers may or may not work out. Davis,Johnson,Shields are helping us win now. Go Royals.
