Lol are you suggesting there is nothing the Big XII could have done? If they wouldn't have catered everything towards Texas there still would be a Big XII.

Not catering to Texas would have prevented UT and its cronies from leaving? It would have stopped Nebraska from joining a more lucrative and prestigious conference?

Anything that puts Ku, Duke, UNC and Kentucky in the same conference would be a win.

If they would have shared revenue I don't see why any team would have left.

Let us know when the aliens destroy Texas.

I know this is a little hard to comprehend for you, billay, but just try and keep up with me for a second.

You see, Texas would NOT have joined the Big 8 had the conference not agreed to cater to what Texas wanted. As such, there would be no Big12 for any school to leave now. I know, I know... it's all very confusing, but just take it slow, one piece at a time.

Had they created the Big12 network when it was first proposed, they'd absolutely be alive today and arguably the strongest conference in the country.

Let's not act like the B12 is the freaking Big East. We have 2 historic football powers and arguably the most powerful current-day program.

There were many many things that could've been done to keep this thing alive. Shit, had Beebe not invited the Pac10 to come review the books for the conference and open the door for the Big Bad Wolf, perhaps the whole thing is avoided.

Yeah, B10 took a risk with BTN, B12 decided it was too much of a risk to take. Now, I don't know how comparable the profits from each network would be at this point, but pretty sure B12 network would be pretty viable right now.

As best I can tell, there's not a MU fan in this thread that isn't sweating right alongside the poor persecuted Beakers.

That is the way I see it, a sad state of affairs.

The more I think about it, the more and more I like those 2 as adds.

Also, as far as UT/A&M going to Pac-10 or SEC, which makes more sense?

They'd be playing the Big 12 South and the Arizona schools in the PAC-16, so travel wouldn't be a huge issue.

But imagine a SEC like this:

West: Texas, Tech, Aggy, OU, LSU, Arky, Ole Miss, Miss St.

East: Kentucky, Tenn, Vandy, Bama, Auburn, UGA, USC, Florida

How ****ing brutal would those conference schedules be?
