I'm not repeating much of what I'm being told because the guy is talking in riddles and not giving me any definitive answers. I was told from the outset though that this whole interview is just smoke and mirrors. I'm taking it with a grain of salt, I'd suggest everyone else take it with less than that. But it is fascinating to me that a 9 hour interview didn't net a deal.

In order to keep a brown eye on him, Clark and Pioli have been showering together.

Pioli has to know if Reid is hired he is out. Imagine the questions he might be throwing out trying to derail this.

The other options are extremely awfully meh.

I've got to think Hunt was way more impressive. Say what you want about him, he has a ton of clout in the NFL, his family is football royalty.

We have 2 maintenance managers that share an office and given the chance to get their own office wouldn't do it, one guy said he wanted to keep the other guy close so he always knew what he was up to.

He isn't going to committ without talking to other teams. The fact he spent 9 hours talking with us shows he is seriously interested.

Searching for a coach isn't like searching for a player. Most of the time the player is looking for the materialistic things in a team. Who's gonna shell out the money for me, who's gonna give me the respect I deserve. With a coach he's looking at everything, cap numbers, facilities, roster, assistants, the whole shibang. I think Reid going to Arizona doesn't spell the end for us in any way shape or form. We just have to hope that our package is better than Arizona's, which I'm confident it would be given the fact that Reid could stand being in the same room with Pioli for 9 hours.

Pretty much, and I wouldn't call him a source at all. But he's making it out like Hunt already has his guy and Friday it will be announced. Please, take it with less than a grain of salt. I only brought it up because after a 9 hour interview I expected to rub it in his face he was wrong, and now I see Reid is going on to Arizona.

Its human nature folks, even if the today went great with the Chiefs - Reid is going to check Arizona out.

Smoke and mirror interview would be Jeff Fisher... 9 hours is not smoke and mirrors as everyone knows. Fisher really had no intentions of taking our job after probably the first hour in. Probably asked Pioli certain structure/power issues and knew his answer. With Reid, this is different, this is a dead serious consideration.

I like the idea of Reid, only because it seems similar to how Schottenheimer came in... At least we'd get to the playoffs every few years... maybe win one or two... maybe make it to the AFC Championship...

It's better than the suckfest we've had since Marty left. I really want the Chip Kelly experiment, though.

Chan Gailey is available. It wouldn't be sexy, but you could do worse if you're looking for an offensive guy to help grow a QB. I'd much rather have Reid though.

That's a bit of an overstatement. Reid is a better hire than what we planned on, but it's pretty amazing to me the 180 we've done on the guy just because he's suddenly interested. He has plenty of red flags.

This is near certain. I love the Chip Kelly or college coach that might even be better but its like take the curtain where Carol Merril is standing. You have no idea what you might get.

If Andy Reid comes here, and wins, he's a god. Arizona has tasted success recently. Seattle and San Fran have young teams that are going to dominate that division.
