Girl fights in high school were so much better than this. I went to school with Amos Otis' daughter, and one day while passing her on the stairs, some girl called her the N word. Best girl fight I have ever seen. I think her name was Dawn, and she held the school record for the girls bench press.

But I do love submissions.

Random girl fights have no rules. They'll do anything...lol And they hold a grudge. Guys can have a fistfight, and be over it the next day.

Kinda what I thought until I saw the replay. Hendo nailed him and Fedor went limp. Wonder if Fedor will retire now.

He may have recovered, but he was out for a second. He crumpled like a rag doll. With his history the ref could have let it continue, but he has to protect the fighter.

I do think that was an early stoppage. Not that Fedor would have come back and won. Just seemed too quick for me.

reason why he fell off already, is because he said he NEVER changed the way he trains for a fight. Huge mistake. YOu have to hell of change as you get older, change nutrition blah blah. he said i beendoing it the same since the start.

I was watching an old Bas Rutten vs Ken Shamrock fight (I love Bas) and it's amazing how much more complex fighters ground games are evolving so quickly, mainly with BJJ discipline as compared to the 3 - 5 base tap out moves they had 15 years ago.

Sometime when you're bored fire up YouTube and watch someone like Roger Gracie or Anderson Silva work their ground game then go back and watch Bas Rutten and Ken Shamrock trying to tap each other out. It's like watching a monkey **** a football compared to what those guys do in BJJ today.

I'm growing into a big Jim Miller fan. I think he beats Henderson here and it will be interesting to see if he can avenge his loss to whoever wins the Maynard/Edgar fight.

True. Not many guys get submitted anymore either. MMA is still evolving. The days of the wrestler winning via lay n pray are coming to an end (thank God) and guys without stand up are going to go the way of the dinosaur. If you can't stand and win fights eventually you will be weeded out.

Bas standup was probably some of the best ever. I mean even today. But back then the BJJ game wasn't as refined overall for sure.

Jim Miller has the perfect fighter mentality. Anyone, anywhere, anyplace. He is a guy who will never be a superstar but he is a badass.

Well until some drunk asshole decided he wanted to prove how big his dick was and start a fight with Bas Rutten anyway. Apparently Evans got butthurt when Jones said he welcomed a fight after a long time of saying he would never fight Rashad because they trained together.

I don't get this. I mean, you're a fighter. You make a friend but the fact is, if your friend is in the same weight class there is a good chance you will/may end up fighting him. Don't get your thong in a knot about it, just take the fight and be friends again after.

Yeah I'm looking forward to watching Lytle one last time. Guess he announced win, lose or draw tonight he's retiring.

Solid card of fights tonight. Great to see "Lights Out" Lytle take Hardy out w/submission for his last fight!

Miller vs Henderson was a brawl. Could have went either way at a couple points. Thought Miller was done about 2 or 3 times but he came back to finish. Both those guys have have impressive endurance.

Lytle was poking Hardy to death and I was thinking 'why don't he go to the ground' and then I saw why he wasn't going to to the ground.

I wouldn't call the Henderson vs Miller fight a brawl. I would call it a mauling, maybe a beat down, and certainly lopsided. One judge gave a round to Miller, and to me, that is about as strong of an argument for specialized refs as any scoring round I have seen, including some of the fights where people were clearly screwed out og victories.

I really wasn't rooting for either of those guys it was just a fight to me if that makes sense. I'll watch it again if I get the chance but from what I saw could have gone either way.
