I think it's a negative unexpected outcome of moving to a 17 game season. We're much more likely to have meaningless games in week 17 as teams clinch divisions in Weeks 15 and 16.

Ever watch the NFL before? That's how all last weekends go. A couple teams clinching divisions and a couple teams trying to get that last playoff spot.
