1-10-KC 20 (5:20) 21-K.Smith left tackle to KC 23 for 3 yards (99-B.Thomas, 93-K.Coleman).
2-7-KC 23 (4:40) 21-K.Smith left tackle to KC 27 for 4 yards (50-E.Barton, 97-C.Pace).
3-3-KC 27 (3:57) 21-K.Smith left tackle to KC 29 for 2 yards (77-K.Jenkins).
4-1-KC 29 (3:20) 6-S.Weatherford punts 54 yards to NYJ 17, Center-51-J.Darche. 29-L.Washington to KC 46 for 37 yards (6-S.Weatherford, 50-R.Boiman).

I've got a few column ideas rolling around in my head after this one. Pick one.

1. Arrowhead still has some magic. Look at what happened at the beginning of the Bucs game. Herm can kill that magic with a few series of R2P2, though.

2. The young Chiefs are impressing and doing their damndest to win football games the last two weeks. They can't overcome Herm, though.

3. Judging from the last two weeks, the Chiefs' offense is on it's way to becoming a competent unit. The defense, however, is still lagging far behind. Herm was brought into to fix the defense. It's been three years. What the **** is going on?

Number 2, but they can't overcome the shitty coaching staff. Not all of it is on Herm, as Pheifer on ST'mers are just awful

Even Defense under Gunther (and Herm too? Since his MO was supposed to be 'Defense'?)

I still don't understand what people have against running the ball when Charles had a 6 yard per carry average. We've all seen them run the RB into a wall of defenders on first or second down, leading to third and longs and three and outs and punts galore.

This was not that.
