Excellent value for them.

I was hoping he would come back for another year.

Yeah, DAL is stupid enough to do that. Landing Smith instead of us would be Jerrruh's ersonal Super Bowl

I have a feeling that Smith is going to the Vikings.

Derek Barnett had a top 10 pressure rate for a DE. Just didn’t end up with a lot of sacks. I’d bring him in if he’s decently cheap.

What the hell is going on with Melvin Ingram?

He isn’t the type of player that signs in the first couple of weeks. Dude will probably wait until after the draft to sign with anyone.

He didn't sign until late last year either. It's just him.

Good riddance

I wonder if older guys like Ingram & Dunlap wait closer to camp to sign somewhere

Funny if you go to chiefs.com and look at the roster, you will see Andrew Billings listed.
https://www.chiefs.com/team/players-...drew-billings/

BUT

He's on the Las Vegas Raiders actually.

His NFL career -

Cincinnati Bengals (2016–2019)
Cleveland Browns (2020–2021)
Miami Dolphins (2021)*
Kansas City Chiefs (2021)*
Las Vegas Raiders (2022–present)
* Offseason and/or practice squad member only

booger 03-21-2022 07:27 PM

They can skip OTAs and minicamp if they wait

Same thing with DE Joe Jackson. He’s got a similar build to rasheem green and the long arms. Just hasn’t played much and needs coached up. Would have been a solid futures signing. But like Billings he went elsewhere. Jackson went to the panthers. Some of that could be the advice of the agent that they are stearing them away from KC if they think they would have a better chance to make a 53 elsewhere. Or KC didn’t like what they saw in either the week or two they were on the ps.

booger 03-21-2022 07:36 PM

Darwin Thompson is still listed on chiefs.com roster but he signed a future deal in Seattle. (Thankfully) They just haven’t updated the roster removing them
He came to the ps same time as Johnson Jackson and Billings

I think if an NFL team made either of them a good $$$ offer, they would jump on it.

But they can wait and see which team makes them the best offer that might include.

1. A winning team.
2. Decent money.
3. A chance to play and contribute to the team.

I figure Melvin Ingram is the Chiefs backup plan if their other plans don't work.

Of course we can just trade for him later if he signs somewhere else.
