Both would be outstanding gets, IMO.

Hey Laz, you were complaining about arrogant jackasses ruining the thread earlier? We need a clean-up on Aisle Douche.

This post is suggestive of a lack of respect for KU basketball. Neg rep sent.

If the Big 12 collapses, there is no exit penalty at all. If it does not collapse, the penalty is written into the contract and set in stone. There's no reason, at all, to agree to reduce it.

Missouri either is afraid they will get left out now, or if Tiger fans want to be optimistic, they have an offer but would genuinely like to save the Big 12 if possible at new reasonable terms and wants to give it a shot before leaving.

The original reports going back weeks all said it was all but a done deal. I think they could be waiting for the Big 12 to collapse so they save the penalties, could they not?

if the conference will collapse, then waiting does nothing for you. The penalty is in the form of a reduced share of future revenue, its not some sort of fine that has to be paid now.

At least KU's bball program is big enough to run as an independent, I would think. I dont think that will happen though.

What's MU going to do?

Don't you need 9 votes to dissolve the big 12? So even in the worst case scenario, the 4 remaining schools force everyone else to pay the exit fees.
