Never post again, please.

Those conference championship games sure hurt the teams that had to play in them...

Wouldn't you rather be Baylor, not having had to play in one?

On Saturday night, you were blaming Baylor for not scheduling tough enough non con. On Sunday, you pivoted and claimed it was because they didn't play a conf title game.

When you take every side of an issue Saul, eventually you'll be right. Broken clock thingy.

Should be 5 slots for the 5 power conference Championship game champions and 3 at large bids.

You could lose your championship game and make the playoffs.

That would be an 8 team playoff.

****ing Bowlsby, man...what a clown. "Durr...I didn't know that conference champions mattered to the committee. Nobody told me shit." How is the only human being on the planet who didn't know this running the Big 12? This guy makes Dan Beebe look like Mike Slive.

**** you're stupid. Kansas isn't in because they lost to Baylor. They're also out because they lost to Texas Tech. It's almost like there can be multiple black marks on a resume...

No wonder even Kansas fans can't stand you. You're a complete embarrassment.

You just said to Bambi: "4 champ winners 4 qualifiers". But to me, you alter it to say "well there are all sorts of criteria"

You play every side of the coin. It's pathetic but it is entertaining.

Bambi 12-08-2014 04:01 PM

Saul's so confused right now. On one hand he's climaxing at the fact that the Big 12 didn't get a team in the playoff and had to settle for having both the 5th and 6th best teams in America.

While lashing out after watching his school with yet another loser performance in a meaningful game last Saturday.

Always the bridesmaid.

I play every side? Everything I said would happen has happened. Here is my post from November. 5 1-loss teams were fighting for three spots. The benefit of the doubt went to every conference championship game winner.

Here's where it gets weird...

The committee wants TCU, IMO. However, there is no way you can put an 11 win team that finished second out of a ten team Big 12 in ahead of a 12 win B1G champion.

If FSU, Bama, Oregon, Baylor, Ohio State, and TCU win out, Ohio State is the fourth team in. HOWEVER, if all of them win but Baylor, TCU wins the Big 12 and gets in ahead of Ohio State.

This thing is a shit show.

Trust me on this one. They're behind Baylor. Overcoming a head to head loss is a high hurdle. TCU just tripped.

So Saul: Did Baylors soft non-con cost them the 4th slot.....or was it not playing a conf title game?

Saul: Baylor doesn't belong in the playoffs over Ohio State

Saul: Here is one reason supporting my position that Baylor doesn't belong in the playoff

Both.

Spoiler alert...those weren't the only reasons, either. That loss to West Virginia contributed as well.

Expect to be cross examined for not mentioning tOSU's loss to VT.

That was a strike against tOSU. It did count against them. Every team had warts. Ohio State had an extra win and was the conference champion. Unlike the land of make believe bambi trades in, CCGs matter. They aren't the only factor, but they're a big hammer when it comes to choosing from a group of teams with similar records.

If you don't play/win a conference championship game, your resume needs to be definitively better than a team that did if you expect to make the playoff over them. I don't understand why this is such a difficult concept.

I'm a Mizzou fan.

I'm also happy with this year's CFP choices.

My point was still true, the big12 could have sent 2 teams if things fell their way. There is nothing wrong with their setup that better OOC scheduling wont fix, and that is in the works for everyone except Baylor. If Baylor gets screwed in the future they will have no one to blame but themselves.
