Yup. He's a loser. Bust.

Because then that money is effectively guaranteed.

The incentive game serves the same cap function but also gives you protection in the event he can't answer the bell.

And while I don't know exactly what his guarantees in Baltimore were, there's a good chance he's left substantial sums of guaranteed money on the table. I don't think anyone left at this dance is going to guarantee him anything close to what he was expecting.

The Chiefs are going to win the Super Bowl.

**** you if you disagree.

Surely a healthy Baker would beat out Lock. It’s an interesting question though.

I love it. Need a few of you in my FF leagues every year.

I'll buy when you sell.

irafreak 03-21-2022 04:37 PM

Yeah baker's best chance may be to swallow his pride and work with the team to play the first few games (assuming Watson gets suspended) with the thought the browns can move him at the trade deadline. Shrug. I don't know. What a weird offseason.

But I wouldn't be shocked at all if some idiot organization gave up that much for him.

If there are teams in this league that think they can win a Super Bowl with David Carr or Tua, then there are teams thing Grapes is worth a couple 2s.

Yeah there’s at least 5-7 NFL GMs out there that are dumb enough to do it.

Agree, proper incentives make sense for a player with injury concerns, I thought the implication in the post I quoted was that you could manipulate the year 1 cap for Smith too via relatively low bar incentives that are still "NLTBE"

Baker is not a top 12 QB but he is better than many are saying, IMO.

I think people are undervaluing (maybe NFL teams too) based on last year when he was hurt.

He's better than Wentz or Jimmy G (not a super high bar).

What are "many" saying, exactly?

They deserve their result, good or bad with that move because it would be a MASSIVE gamble. I’m a big gambler and I wouldn’t take that risk.

They just know that their ONLY chance at a Super Bowl with Cousins is to have a full blown elite team around him, so chances need taken.

Start laughing.

Anthony Barr is an interesting thought it would just have to be at the right price. Been a 4-3 Sam and he would do that here but could he rotate some snaps at the Leo/rush end is the question. Not a big sack guy but might be an interesting piece. In his first stint as Giants DC Spags had DE Mathias Kiwinuka playing Sam LB off the ball at 6’5 260.

RealSNR 03-21-2022 05:11 PM

So I saw Atlanta signed Mariota.

Honestly, if I were a franchise in the position of going through a rebuild and didn't have a QB (like many teams out there) Mariota would have been my first choice rather than giving up a ****ing draft pick for someone like Wentz.

No, he probably won't stay healthy, and he might not even be good at all, but I need somebody to at least project the illusion that I give a shit. Washington rolling with Heinecke last year was an absolute abortion of an idea, because now they're putting eggs in the Wentz basket and continuing to underwhelm fan expectations.

It's a good recipe for getting ****ing fired if you're the GM or Ron Rivera.

Hearing that Dallas is offering a one year $17M deal for ZaDarius Smith.
