So with the CU announcement and the probable impending announcement of OSU (and 4 others), does the Big 10 act now and start handing out 5 invites to form their own 16 team conference?
It seems like they are going to want to do this before other conferences start to poach unaffiliated teams and they run out of choices or enough teams to make up a 16 team super-conference to rival Pac-16 beast that will soon emerge. Side note: With all of the USC shit hitting the fan, this is the perfect time for a power house like Texas to come into the Pac-10/16 and rip away prospects/recruits and kick the shit out of some teams. |
