Self sitting talent behind his favorites isn't exactly a new concept.

Most years though by this time in the season it felt like he moved the talent into the rotation more.

They haven’t earned his trust to get heavily into the rotation. But the players he trusts keep dropping games. Seems like at some point you’d throw the guys you don’t trust out there and see if anything different happens

Bidunga plays a lot more than 4 mpg. If Philon had stayed at KU, he'd probably be getting similar minutes to what he's getting at Alabama. Heck, Griffen's getting almost that.

I'm sure Self would love to get Bidunga more minutes, but he's not exactly an ideal 4 and there aren't many minutes to be found at the 5.

The thing of it is. This team is going nowhere even with the perfect lineup. AJ Storr sucks at basketball. If he's given the keys to the castle he will volume score but that would make the team even more Inefficient offensively or even if it was a wash he's an awful defender. I thought Griffen would be better but he's not a well rounded player. I heard he was a lock down defender when he was at Bama but he looks very mid defensively. He can only shoot a 3 or straight line drive.

Basically Coit and Moore are the only guys I would want to give more minutes to other than Bidunga. And Coit would get abused by big guards.

Or just sit one on the bench and let one play more minutes.
