I plan on seeing the new Kevin Costner film called Let Him Go sometime soon . It got pretty decent reviews and it looks interesting.

It was boring as hell besides a couple of scenes. Personally I wouldn't recommend.

So this was a pleasant surprise. Very good suspense thriller that I'd not heard about at all. <iframe width="720" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/rQ7mb5DmLfk" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Gonna watch for this one.

This is a media center subject, but the comments made me laugh the hardest I have all week.

Kind of Natural Born Killer-ish meets Winter's Bone.

Well done and recommended but a bit of a downer.

I enjoyed it. It reminded me of Flannery O'Connor.

Watched Bushwick on Netflix. I’m always down for Dave Bautista. But this one was a rough hang. Fairly poignant given the current political climate, but a tough hang. Probably worth your time, but it isn’t cheery. There is a moment where it tries to be. Then it isn’t anymore.

Spoiler!

Vanguard - awesome
Fatman - awesome
Triggered - sucked

Waiting for Iron Mask, Breach and Giant

I watched Hard Kill on Netflix. Don't bother.

Looked good. Bruce Willis, mercenaries, shoot em up. **** yeah.

Pure unadulterated garbage. Bad dialogue, worse dialogue, worse yet plot. Action was meh, but it was absolutely chalk full of nonsensical tactical errors and dumbass decisions. And I'm far from the pinnacle of weapons and tactics knowledge. I have a couple guns and can fairly efficiently dust prairie dogs, badgers and coyotes, but I have precisely 0 training, and both sides of the conflict made inconcievable, indefensible tactical errors. And that's not to get into improperly using the weapons systems.

And that's beside the point that they were fighting over this AI platform that they tried like 3 times to explain, and literally as deep as they got was it was AI and ... I guess... is bad.

I can normally suspend disbelief for that kind of stuff, but wow this was bad.

Pure shit. Keep scrolling.

Antebellum was kinda weird. Janelle Monae is FOINE though.

Hillbilly Elegy was pretty good. Alot better than the trailers made it look.

It’s definitely Oscar bait, but it’s well made and earnest more than anything.

Buehler445 11-30-2020 02:28 AM

So I watched Uncle Frank. I didn’t know shit about it. Betany is typically a good watch. I was in the office. **** it. I put it on.

If you don’t know it’s about this girl in her formative years that takes a liking to her ostracized uncle. Turns out he’s ostracized because

Spoiler!

Then the uncles dad (girls grandpa) dies and it shifts to the uncle. And dealing with the whole thing.

It was really good. Betany killed it like I thought he would, the girl and the partner (especially the partner) ****ing destroyed it. I mean really good. This is normally a movie I’d shut off 20 minutes in. I was hooked when shit got real. When

Spoiler!

I was all in. It was really good. I don’t know shit about awards or whatever. Seems like Oscar bait, I don’t know. Whatever. But it’s a well done flick. Worth the time.

Huh, I read this a few years ago. Never thought they'd make it into a movie.

Mosul on Netflix— highly recommend this movie. Gritty, realistic, and un-varnished view of the war against ISIS/Daesh. I spent three years in Iraq, and they did a better job than any bullshit movie made in Hollywood. Yes, it’s subtitled but it only makes it more realistic as opposed to Iraqis running around speaking English.
