Not really. If Mizzou gets their Big 10 invite and KU is relegated to the MWC, the Tigers will be first in line to dance and laugh at KU's misfortune.

Likewise, if the Big 10 decides to grab 4 more schools from the east, an SEC invite for KU unexpectedly comes from out of nowhere, and Mizzou is left twisting in the wind, KU fans will laugh at the Tigers for years.

There is no real unification here, only shared misery and hope that they get out.
