It's always better to get a 5* than not, but if we can 'bank' some NLI money to put it into the OL or DL, we may be better served. Side note: **** I hate having to view college football through effectively a salary cap lens... |

I heard it on the radio, so he isn't full of shit. But it didn't say he was committing only that Texas moved to the favorite

I think this is a guy hedging his bets... but we'll see. If there's another catalyst for this information, it's nothing that 5 minutes of searching is finding lol |
And that's why trying to chase and predict the whims of 17 year olds is a silly time. Only matters on signing day.
|
Texas made a visit last night.
DeArmond and co. aren't convinced it moved the needle to Texas. Missouri sources less confident but not feeling like it's a done deal in the slightest. I think it's the typical "blue blood vs. non-blue blood" thing. |
What time is he doing this?

Texas.

It’s Texas…..fuuuuuuuck…..

{shrug}
Onward and upward. Drink will get weapons in here. Would've rather had him than not, but those ****ing Wingo's are better at rat-****ing us than not. Never truly got my hopes up. |
Wonder what shady uncle in the hood got some McDonalds bag.
|
Wingo said it’s been Texas for 2 months….so has he been coming to games to try and get other guys to flip?
Yeah this guy is dead to me… |

The Wingos are a line of rat bastards. |

Of course, though, I'd still like McClellan. But, I wouldn't be upset in the least if Drink and Co. moved on completely from the Wingo clan. |
Yeah, he was clearly being a weasel with everyone involved with this staff and team. We will be fine without him. I don't want some dude that lies through his teeth coming in here. Plus his family are rats. He is good though.

Get me another quality TE and I'll be pretty happy.

It’s a big recruiting loss fortunately we have weapons. But it’s a loss make no mistake.
The Wingos have not been good to Mizzou. Hopefully he flops. I’m petty about it and don’t care. |
Petro and Blair were talking about Mizzou yesterday and Petro brought up Michigan St. and wondered out loud if they’d throw a stupid amount of money at Drinkwitz, it’s an interesting thought and conversation.
They also brought up North Carolina, which is the one I’m keeping an eye on esp. if Mack retires after the season. |
Quote:
And if we have boosters lining up to throw money at Wingo, I can't imagine we'll lose a successful head coach over finances. This is where being in the SEC is awfully nice - the exposure and prestige that comes with the conference, I would think, would break ties in keeping quality people. |

I do think it becomes intriguing if UNC opens up… |
Drink would struggle in the B1G
|
Mizzou is swimming in donor money right now from what I'm hearing, you can see it in NIL but enthusiasm is high. I don't see Drink leaving unless it's another job in the SEC. He was an assistant at Auburn so maybe there's an SEC job where he might go, but Mizzou is going to make it hard to leave with their money.

I strayed from my policy of not watching hat trick announcements and that was a mistake.

Honestly making a 3 ring circus out of announcing where you are heading to playing your college ball seems like a "look at me...look at me" scene meant to feed egos

Georgia opened as a 20.5 point favorite. I expected them to be heavily favored, but not by 3 touchdowns. I have no expectations of a win, but I do expect it to be much closer than that.
|
Zero respect for Drink...

Georgia just pushing Florida around yesterday didn't help my confidence any. I mean they just manhandled those guys. |
I may make a small bet for Mizzou to win the game outright. What are the odds on that?

Georgia needs to move to the NFL.

Exciting shit! |
Imagine if they hadn't shit their pants at home against LSU?? Still think that game didn't matter?
|

The line is down to 15 1/2 now on mine though |

But again, it's what we were saying about the LSU a few weeks ago - nothing truly changed based on that game. Everything is still on the table. Is it even a little realistic? No - but we're in November and still control our own destiny. That's pretty damn exciting. |
Quote:
They're not getting into the top 4 without beating UGA, even if they beat LSU. And if they beat UGA, they're in the drivers seat for the SEC title game even AFTER losing to LSU. The only way it would matter is if they beat UGA and then lose to Tennessee or something (definitely a possibility). And yeah, that would suck royal ass. But I'll worry about all that in the extremely unlikely event that we beat Georgia. |
The game mattered in the sense that in the likelihood that they lose to Georgia, winning out as a one loss SEC team puts them in a better bowl game with more visibility. I don't have any illusions of them beating Georgia or winning the conference title.
The 2007 and 2013 teams lost out on BCS bowls because of those regular season losses. Had they simply lost the CCG in both years, they wouldn't get the title shot, but they would have played in the Orange and Sugar Bowl respectively. When a program hasn't done that since the first year of Nixon, that's a big accomplishment. |

MU tying it up. Looking pretty good so far. Our D is playing damn good too

Jesus Christ why is the playcaller waving the white flag every time we hit a 3rd and long?

I haven't been able to watch or listen to the game today. I'm just catching updates here and there. I have to say that I'm pleased to see the score tied at halftime. It's good to see Mizzou hanging with the defending champs.
|
I say rattle that Georgia QB.

CBS might as well just stay in commercials for kickoffs if they’re gonna show that overhead camera angle where you can’t see shit.
