Sounds like they're really struggling with the supercooled LOX. I hope that "improvement" doesn't end up being a giant pain the ass.

It's a new (essentially) propellant, so it seems like they are having trouble getting the kinks worked out with it.

It's funny - watching rocket launches is not that dissimilar to watching sports when it comes down to it. Lots of waiting, a lot of minor disappointment, and every once in a while you feel like you got kicked in the nuts.

I have to say that it cool that they over 80k viewers on the webcast. I like that people are showing this much interest.

The trouble is in keeping the LOX at the right temp. Too early and it's too warm. Too late and you miss a full load like today.

Yeah, I'm just hoping that the problems are just a matter of getting the kinks worked out. They're really banked on the extra power from the F9FT, so it'd be pretty disappointing if it ended up causing a lot of long-term issues.

At least none of its key parts have fallen apart so far.
