Y'ouch.

Yeah...I carry an extra staff now just in case.

Different people play for different reasons. It gets frustrating on Nightmare sometimes, but the feeling I get when I finally get past that battle I didn't think I was ever going to win is pretty great.

Right now though, I just want to kill every ****ing assassin and rogue everywhere.

Finally hit level 8.

This game is so much more challenging than Origins so far.

I deal with assassins/rogues by stunning the crap out of them. Miasmatic flask/shield bash/pommel strike/winters grasp...etc etc.

Very nice

Ahh, and it's cheaper than it was in Awakening.

I don't know how I missed it my first time in the shop.

Man, i've started 2 or 3 side quests that I simply can not beat. The battles are nearly endless. One of the battles has 2 "boss" type mobs, that drink potions and whatnot.

I'm not equipped for that at this point. I've adapted the "make sure it's on aveline with her back to a wall, kill everything else, and then kill the assassin/rogue/pain in the ass" strategy.

Oh boy. Dragons.

The best stun I've seen so far, by the way, is Horror. I just got it on Merrill, used it on dragonlings.

Just killed a Mature Dragon. Probably the most fun fight I've had so far.

Poor girl only had 21 silver on her, though. Not much of a hoard. Tons of xp though.

Somebody on the bioware forum was telling me they will backstab you to the face. Maybe they can, but it's never happened to me. And I'd know if they had, because I didn't get crit immunity on Aveline until right before I went to bed last night. I've faced a bunch of assassins since I figured this out, primarily on the docks, and I haven't lost anybody. So it's working for me.

I'm going to try Anders again sometime after work tonight. Wish me luck.

Spoiler!

Ahh good, thanks. I was holding off on finishing that one until I had Anders, so it will work out.

http://biowarestore.com/

Buy a shirt, receive an in game item that gives you immunity to flanking.

Almost seems worth it at this point.

I considered the Tapsters Tavern or Grey Wardens t-shirt, but XL was OOS.

I could fit in to a large in a few months though I bet...:thumb:
