It does appear to be the dilemma but there are plenty of other coaches who have figured out how to motivate players in this era

You can pretty much draw a line from the Houston collapse to everything that followed with this team.. KJ’s return from injury coincided with that but there’s more than that going on here.

First time Self goes to the Dickinson/Flory lineup with 3 guards (statistically the team’s best lineup all season by a mile) is 14 minutes into the 2nd half down 31 points
