Remember the days when the Chiefs did nothing to get better so people would make this shit up and it would get 5000 replies? Good times

Perhaps Q, but Nate Solder to the Giants. 4 years and up to $62M, making him the highest paid OLineman in NFL history. $35 million guaranteed.

He's not, of course, the best offensive lineman in the NFL. PFF had him ranked as the #18 tackle. Problem is that there are NO good tackle options in free agency so if your OLine is a mess, like the Giants' was last year, then you gotta pay big $$$ to fix it no matter what.

From a Pats perspective, losing the other guys we lost didn't hurt too bad. Losing Solder does. No obvious replacement starting quality left tackle on the team.

What's a 2nd rounder next year valued at? A 3rd round this year? I wonder if we could get into the 30-32 range for a player like Justin Reid or a CB.

Losing out on Norwell probably made them desperate.

I’m just saying guys...I think Veach is going to use that Rams 2nd rd pick (and maybe more) to move up somewhere. Either from 54 to the 30-35 range or from 78 or 87 to go back into rd 2.

I don’t see the use in waiting to use that pick next year. You’re window starts now and you have 3 years. You’re waiting 1 of those years already and then maybe another year to develop.

Just use it now

That's a great idea, using the 2nd from next year. Honestly, never even considered that.

I'm going to, probably not as quickly as anyone within a quarter mile of your grill, but I will eventually die.

I don't believe so. Period to sign a restricted free agent is through April 20. Tagging team has right to match for a relatively short period of time (four days?), and if it does not match the draft pick goes over. Since the draft is April 26-28, I assume it's not coincidental that the restricted free agency signing period ends April 20.

A team could theoretically negotiate with the team that has the player's rights to remove the tender.
