Anybody watch ESPN 30 for 30 Requiem For The Big East last night?
Great video and interviews. What a beast of a conference that was. And all those coaches. Most of whom admitted that it didn't matter how good basketball was, that football drove the bus and essentially killed their conference. Great show. |

Smaller schools that don't play football are never going to be able to work with larger ones that do. It was destined to fail once they brought in Miami, WVU and Va Tech. They made good points by showing that as an independent Syracuse was able to operate as a football team with basketball being involved with the Big East. That's no longer a viable option so there's really no way for them to co-exist with Georgetown. Great doc last night. |
Kansas gets a 2-seed. Looks like the ComoSexuals also got one:

Concerned if we have to meet Syracuse in the E8. Otherwise, not worried about Florida's path to the FF.

Indiana athletic director after NIT snub: 'We're Indiana. We don't play in the CBI.'
They decided to end their season instead. |

It wouldn’t be overstating the case to say that the SEC is halfway to being a mid-major: According to Jeff Sagarin’s conference ratings, the difference between the SEC and the Big 12 (the top-rated basketball conference this year) was larger than that between the SEC and the West Coast, Atlantic 10 or Mountain West conferences.

They should turn down the NIT, fire Haith, and put Alden's head on a pike.
