Ballard working on getting Matt Ryan

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">From NFL Now: The <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Colts?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Colts</a> have emerged as the likely landing spot for <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Falcons?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Falcons</a> QB Matt Ryan, and the two sides are in talks. If Ryan is traded, it’ll almost certainly be Indy. But nothing is done as of now. <a href="https://t.co/TJqqG25Z2x">pic.twitter.com/TJqqG25Z2x</a></p>&mdash; Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) <a href="https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/1505954628860534784?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 21, 2022</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

If the Cowboys want Smith... the'll get him. I can't see us breaking the bank on him, and that is obviously what he wants.

Ballard is ****ing overrated. Veach and him were polar opposites. One is aggressive and the other is the complete opposite.

Ballard is a very good GM if you don't count QB. Unfortunately he has no idea what he is doing there and his interest in a washed Matt Ryan only confirms his inability to improve the position.

It’s not just about the QB position.

He’s just not aggressive at all.

Not sure I prefer that route at this point, to be honest. Smith's approach with Baltimore, an organization he has a history with, really put me off him.

That's a guy who's just out for the check and I could easily see him shutting it down if he gets paid. Or pouting if he doesn't.

Not sure I want him even at the same price as Key at this point when you consider that, his age and the injury issues.

Yes, we really don't need a player with the attitude he showed Baltimore. Especially with the age/injury, as you point out.

Not his fault Luck bailed on him.

Allen has already been extended.

Hopefully we scarred Allen for life…

It is his fault that he traded a first round pick for Carson Wentz.

No, it isn't.

What is his fault is the half-assed, pansy, conservative way he has tried to address the position since that time, and how conservative he is, generally.

Ballard seems to have some Carl Peterson in him.

He's trying to get to the SB whole he has roster that can. Ryan is old and Baker sucks. Not a real good choice either way.

TambaBerry 03-21-2022 11:47 AM

Ryan to the colts done

The Franchise 03-21-2022 11:49 AM

Good job, Ballard. Because Matt Ryan is going to get you to the Super Bowl.
