Teahan didn't play minutes for that team, so can't be blaming him. Reed and Morningstar missed nearly every shot they took, though. Sounds pretty similar to Agbaji and Braun in this entire tourney, who have a tendency to wilt in pressure moments.

That's an interesting idea. Are there boat race hecklers? After a few beers I could totally be one... You're gonna get boat raced, blue!

*looks around*.... get it? ....because you know... *nudges complete stranger with an elbow*

Marcus Morris turning the ball over 8 times not ideal either.

Reed and Morningstar were ice cold that day. 2-16 combined.

If KU plays well and Miami doesn’t, KU wins by 15+
If KU plays well and Miami also plays well, KU wins by 4-8
If KU plays poorly and Miami also plays poorly, KU wins by 1-4
If KU plays poorly and Miami plays well, KU loses by 6+

I must have been thinking Reed.

We're all afraid. We all know Miami is the better team. Relax and enjoy the loss.

Mr. Plow 03-26-2022 01:27 PM

It's terrible that a game from 10 years ago has so much influence on this game even though nobody on either team played in it.

smithandrew051 03-26-2022 01:34 PM

It’d be nice to see Agbaji have a Hinrich ‘03 moment.

Hinrich was horrible against Duke in the sweet 16 and was held to 2 points. Then he exploded for nearly 30 against Arizona to get us to the Final Four.

Kirk Hinrich was really good at basketball though. Agbaji less so.

The shots are going to be there for him due to the defense that Miami plays. Just has to make them (which he almost certainly won't based on his track record in such games).

Well obviously Hinrich was better, but this matchup is much more favorable for a slump buster. Hinrich was playing a stacked Arizona team with Jason Gardner, Luke Walton, Andre Iguodala, Channing Frye, and Salim Stoudemire. Agbaji is playing a terrible defense.
