Unlike college basketball the computer rankings in football are the true determination of how a team finishes.

The polling in cfb is laughably biased it's barely worth mentioning.

As you can see Kansas has easily finished in the "final four" of college football. Just imagine how great it would have been to get that NCG matchup vs LSU had the playoff system existed in 2008.
