We also don't have a night game until freaking Monday, which means I'll miss all of the Tigers series (save the few minutes I'll hear on the radio during lunch) and most of Friday's game because of work. Stupid.

Not sure why they do that....but it might have something to do with the unpredictable weather in northern and Midwestern cities in early April?

If nothing else, it's the warmest part of the day. Detroit still has lows in the 20s in the forecast.

Yea this. Plus, if it rains early in the day, they can still potentially get a game in later in the afternoon or evening.

He was seeing the ball better and taking more pitches and working favorable counts so that is a positive at least.
