Good luck. Zero chance Kraft would trade him to a division rival.

That would be awesome...for us.

Or if they fire Dorsey and promote Joe Brady.

Both are Sean Payton disciples and both require a QB to be a fast processor, decision maker.

That ain't Josh Allen.

Daboll knew how to hide his flaws and they aren't getting him back.

Dorsey's playbook is just Daboll's so once they fire him it will get worse, not better for their offense.

Of course not, that's ridiculous. What are there, 5 QBs in the HOF who never won a Super Bowl? Marino, Kelly, Fouts, Moon, Tarkenton. Maybe others from the leather helmet days.

Joshiepoo can't even make it TO a Super Bowl. If he retired tomorrow, he'd go down in history as a choke artist.

Below is the "Hall of Fame Monitor" list. Allen is currently listed at 31. The lowest graded HOFers are Jim Kelly at 59 and Troy Aikman at 64. There are also a couple of guys who don't belong in the Hall, but are very high on the list (Ryan & Rivers):

Yeah, the modern day QB's have a huge advantage. Rules are slanted for the offense & QB in particular. Playcalling is way more pass-oriented than it was 30+ years ago. We are gonna end up with a big group of dudes similar to Ryan & Rivers, who pile up a bunch of empty stats but aren't truly Hall of Fame type of players.

Always fun to look at that list and other positions.

I love how Mahomes is already even with Kurt Warner and honestly if Pat decided to hang up his cleats today he would get into the HoF simply based on the fact they let Kurt Warner in.

Allen has a long way to go on this list as it seems Super Bowls adds a good amount of points and without those Allen should just hope for a Rivers type of career.

Rainbarrel 10-26-2023 01:27 PM

Warner is one example. Another one is Troy Aikman, who is 22 points below Mahomes on the list despite Troy having 3 rings.

While 3 rings is a HUGE reason and probably the main reason he got the "Human" vote to get into the HOF. He also played for double what Warner and Mahomes has ATM.

Would be very interesting to see if voters would have put Troy in with his average stats but 3 rings if he had only played for 6 years.

I'm not sure how the Pro Football HOF works, but I believe the MLB HOF says something about a player with a short career would be worthy if they were absolutely dominant during the time they played.

Mahomes has totally dominated the league since he became the starter. Has there been any other NFL player that has dominated the league as thoroughly as Mahomes has done so far?

Ryan also has a league MVP. If either he or Rivers make it then it goes to show that longevity and sheer raw numbers in a passer friendly league are all that is needed for a QB to make the HOF. Neither deserve a HOF bid, but if I had to take one it would be Ryan solely based on the MVP and SB appearance.

Gale Sayers and Terrel Davis are two examples of why Mahomes would get in if he never took another snap. Of the three, Mahomes has been the most dominant in comparison to his peers over his career so far.

Kurt Warner:
8 years
1 SB
2 All Pro
4 Pro Bowl
116 games started
2666 completions
32,344 Yards
208 TDs

Mahomes:
5 years
2 SB
2 All Pro
5 Pro Bowl
87 games started
2170 completions
26,258 Yards
207 TDs

YES in 3 more years Mahomes will be way past Warners numbers but I still think ATM Mahomes would be compared to Warner if he hung up his cleats now.

It’s a good/fair comparison. Funny thing is Warner was 28-29 during his peak years with the Rams. Mahomes is just now 28 with a bright future ahead of him.

Mahomes is already a HOFer. So, isn't Kelce and IMO Tyreek Hill. Chris Jones is someone that may need a few more seasons but with another SB win with Jones playing well, he starts to become a lock..

Aikman's stats are misleading. With Cowboys on offense he either had dog s**t to very mediocre players to work or great players to work with.

On the great teams, he did great in his role but his stats weren't necessarily as good as the cowboys top 2-3 NFL scoring offenses since why not hand off the ball to Emmitt Smith near the end zone when most teams are not good enough to stop it. It was a different NFL back then as well with passing much harder than today. Fullbacks also used.

NFL football was pretty much a different sport back then and a lot less pass friendly. And Cowboys as long as Emmitt was good had less reason/need to pass it. In a 2 year period, Smith had 46 rushing TDs. If even just half those went to Aikman, his passing stats look a heck of a lot better.

Only 2 QB's of today, I take before Aikman at his best are Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes. Lamar Jackson has to do better in playoffs...not necessarily win a SB before I place him above Aikman.

Buffalo has a high of 47⁰ today... hell, Tampa probably gets that chilly every once in a while. LMAO

Bro, it was 58 this morning. Way too cold for me! Luckily it warmed up to the high 70’s. But it was Florida freezing in Tampa Bay this morning.

47 degrees in Florida is different than 47 degrees in Buffalo doe.

Well, I’ve never been to Buffalo but I’d imagine so…

It’s rare that I root for the Billies these days but I think them beating the Bengals is preferential.

I mean, either way is fine but the Bengals have won a couple games and their fans are already starting to annoy me. They need to be knocked back down a peg.

I agree, the Bengals are loathesome. Gobby team and mouthy, fair-weather fans. I'd rather play the Bills and I'd love to see Cincy smashed by the Ravens

Bills are out of the playoffs as of today. Still have a tough schedule coming up.

@Eagles
@Chiefs
@Chargers
@Dolphins

I could see them at 10-7
