Honestly, they've always had a defense and running game. It's what makes them the Ravens. Smash mouth football and I love they took it to CIN. In fact I actually picked BAL.

On a side note, Burrow re-injurying his calf is the very last thing they needed. They play the Rams next week and the odds of them beating them with a gimpy Joe Burrow and not favorable. Stafford is playing some pretty darn good football rn. If the Rams had Kupp it would be easy to pick them.

He starts slow every year he’s been in the league. In 2020 it was the COVID year, 2021 it was the ACL recovery, and 2022 he had an emergency appendectomy. Then this year he had the calf. Dude hasn’t had a full offseason/training camp in four tries.

We’ll see if this time is different but I am just going to assume they’ll get it together soon.

They'll be 0-3 if he doesn't play.

That's going to bascially take them out of the picture for the 1 seed, and it might cost them the playoffs in a tough divison with a 1st place schedule.

Agree with you, it's not funny. I think they should let him rest awhile. It's not worth the risk of long term damage. If it's pretty much a lost season for the team, they gain stronger draft picks in the 1st and 2nd Round.

I'd have to think that if they have any hope of it not being a problem in the 'coming weeks', he may need another month to completely heal. That doesn't bode well for this season because the backups are not good.

They could have easily sat him these two weeks and been in the same position they're in now.

Agreed...and they risked making his injury situation worse by playing him the last 2 weeks against two pretty strong, physical defenses. We know how a lot of the players are. They want to play no matter what. Sometimes the coaches & medical staff need to look out for them and focus on healing.

Valid point about the artificial turf in Cincy. If I was the owner of that team, I would seriously consider putting in grass. They are soon going to have both a QB and WR on massive, top dollar contracts. Why risk having those 2 guys in a more injury-prone situation? Putting in a grass field at least provides some level of insurance to help those 2 star players stay healthy.

Yeah, Burrow actually moves well in the pocket normally.

Without that he's just going to get hurt worse.

I believe I saw Burrow is 0-12 when throwing over 20 yards. He’s not getting the jump ball luck so far this year he is so used to getting.

At least he had nice Snuggie outfits to keep him looking awesome while he limps around. He’s bruised fruit right now

Burrow looks like the worst QB in the AFC North so far

My apologies to Alex Smith for comparing him to this schmuck.

Nah, Watson is terrible. Deshaun was MVP for Pittsburgh tonight.

Agreed...and they risked making his injury situation worse by playing him the last 2 weeks against two pretty strong, physical defenses. We know how a lot of the players are. They want to play no matter what. Sometimes the coaches & medical staff need to look out for them and focus on healing.

If Zac had half a brain, he would have made sure to run the ball more--especially with how good Mixon has looked so far--and designed a better short passing game to keep Burrow from having to run as much as possible. He still has a long, long, long way to go to be any kind of good game planner/play caller.

It's not Karma, dumbass. There's no such thing. Even if there were, what makes you the deserving recipient?

Valid point about the artificial turf in Cincy. If I was the owner of that team, I would seriously consider putting in grass. They are soon going to have both a QB and WR on massive, top dollar contracts. Why risk having those 2 guys in a more injury-prone situation? Putting in a grass field at least provides some level of insurance to help those 2 star players stay healthy.

They had grass in PBS when if first opened. It was a freaking beach after a couple games. Bengals v Chiefs in '03 was on that 'grass'.

So much for me drafting Ekeler and Burrow in fantasy.

So what’s the problem? KC seems to be able to maintain a grass field and it gets pretty damn cold there. I would think Cincy weather isn’t too much different. Buffalo and Minnesota are the 2 places where I can understand having fake turf. Hard to maintain grass with 10 feet of snow.

Surprisingly, it's not really that. He's only been sacked 3 times. The line has been much better. Jonah is still shit, right side as much as he was on the left, but there's something def wrong with Burrow, whether he's been thinking about the calf or the contract. He's been a mid QB both games this year, missing open guys all over the field, visually and when he throws. Very much un-Burrow.
