The wife and I started watching Orange. Pretty good.

Re-watched The Last Samurai for the first time in about 10 years. Such a great movie from the plot to the setting to the acting.

I've never found Tom Cruise to be particularly endearing but I have to admit he makes great movies.

Yeah, hooked on Mad Men now. LMAO

Draper is great, but Roger Sterling is ****ing hilarious, too.

And yeah, Brie's character is such a ****. Ugh. I feel bad for the sap that married her.

Draper's character is really interesting. He's clearly a huge ****ing asshole...but in a strange way he's also the best human being on the show (among the men, anyway).

Of course, I'm only five episodes in. He could murder someone or something. I actually thought he was going to off his brother.

That characters are all pretty awesome on it. And the cast of awesome characters just grows.

Keep watching. Brie's character gets a lot more in depth. All of them do really. But don't be feeling for her hubby just yet.

Vincent Kartheiser's character is one of the most annoying people I've ever seen on television. I'm pretty sure he deserves his **** wife.

I enjoy the **** out of that show. I have no idea how true it is but it is pretty powerful shit and the battles rule.

I won't pretend to know but I'm not going to go around quoting a Hollywood flick that casts a white dude as "the last samurai".

Still enjoyable though.

I caught the 300 sequel. It was pretty bad. The over the top shit and unbelievable fighting nonsense is far worse than 300.

But it is decent for a turn your mind off action flick.

I watched about 30 minutes of that Exodus: Gods and Kings shithole the other day. Most of the random servants/workers were brown people but the main actors were all white. Ramses? ****ing Australian. Ramses mom? Sigourney ****ing Weaver.

I also get annoyed anytime I see a depiction of a blonde-haired, blue-eyed Jesus.

I've hated her character all through the series.

She is clearly the woman's lib-rah-rah character but they should have made her more likable.

I'm a princess-I'm a whore-I'm intelligent- I'm powerful-I'm able to hang drinking with you. I just feel like she didn't convey what they were clearly going for as the opposite of Draper.

It sounds like every reason why men hate psychotic women. It negates the gains they wanted to give her character and while we're supposed to cheer for her (as the underdog) I just don't care.

This is a show about how men ruled the world and held women to a much lower stature and her character found a way to make me not care despite how much it was in my face...

VHS: Viral was a pile of shit

Watched The Voices the other day, with Ryan Reynolds playing a psychotic. Man, what a twisted movie. Nothing phenomenal or anything, but it was weird and cool and entertaining. Wrapped up in a nice WTF bow tie ending.

The Voices. Ryan Reynolds, Gemma Arterton, Anna Kendrick. Dark, dark comedy, and totally hilarious.

Big Hero 6 and St. Vincent were both great.

Yeah, it had some funny moments but...it was easily the most depressing comedy I've ever watched.

I bitched about the trailer for the Kingsmen a while back saying it looked over the top and ridiculous. Well... It was. It was also ****ing awesome. Loved it.

Ex Machina...really well executed. GREAT performance from Oscar Isaac. He's gonna have a great career, can't wait to see him in Star Wars.

The movie...slightly predictable but just really well done. Haunting. Creepy in a unique way. Loved it.

Yeah, I k ow. I really want it to be good. I like movies with craziness, and this COULD be one. But given his recent history....

HTTM2 was a disappointment. Not nearly as funny as the first one.

Another "haunted house" type scary movie? Those get old fast.

I don't know that the trailer gives enough info to make a judgment. I could see a number of different narratives coming out of the contents.

From a straight up, bump in the night thriller, to a dark comedy, to some psychobabble [may or not be good or resonant] about generation gaps.

Will wait for more insight. Critics are off M.Night's jock at this point. If they find merit in the film, I'll place some credence in that.

Premature - Groundhog Day, except the main character starts the day over every time he ejaculates. Actually hilarious with some nice T&A.

Commando - Hilarious on first viewing. Will never watch again.

I watched Killing Season with De Niro and Travolta. It was pretty bad. There was some interesting violence, but it was bad.

I also saw Homeland. It was OK. Gratuitous violence. Decent story. Over the top methheads. I'd recommend seeing it if you want some shut your mind off watch Jason Statham annihilate ****ers.

My wife talked me into seeing the Poltergeist reboot. There aren't enough words to describe that piece of shit.

I watched this a couple weeks ago. I really enjoyed it. And there is a thread. Movie was a lot better than I expected.

Re-watched this movie called The Cave from about 10 years ago. Think The Descent but with a mixed cast. It had some low key big names like Lena Headey, Cole Hauser, Morris Chestnut, and Daniel Dae Kim. Anyway, it didn't really make sense. The "monsters" in the movie were shown to be amphibious and yet were never able to find that all-too-easy cave exit?

Also, Cole Hauser plays the same guy in every movie.

Damn, Charlie St. Cloud was really, really good.

Dallas Buyer's Club was a great movie. Tugged at them heart strings real nice and good like.

Why does McConaughey get such a bad rap? He does comedy, action, romance, drama.. Guy's a pretty good actor if you ask me.

"Yuck" is an overstatement, but there's gotta be a lot better looking relatively unknown actresses out there.

It's been out for a while now, but Jersey Boys is enjoyable. Nothing inventive about it, but it's worth a watch for the music alone.

Is there any more convenient Deus Ex Machina than the Eagles in LOTR and The Hobbit? Seriously. What do those all powerful Eagles do in their free time? And why is my phone autocorrecting to capitalize the word Eagles?

Also, why did Beorn only have 4 seconds of screen time in The Battle of the Five Armies? They literally air dropped that man into battle. So ****ing awesome. I would have watched a 2 hour movie of just him wrecking Gundabad orcs.

Those Eagles are way overpowered though. Even in Return of the King, they dicked the Nazgul dragon with absolutely no problem. Plus, as we saw Battle of the Five Armies, there are tons of them.

If they all decided to squad up nothing in Middle Earth that we've seen could stop them.
