What the **** is your problem with that generic post?

What part isn't true?

Maybe it's that we signed a great player and you're already bitching.

Where did i say "shit move"?

I didn't.

Thuney plays multiple positions, so yes, i hope that we don't plan on playing him at OT.

Absolute worst case scenario we will use niang at LT and while that's a risk, niang has a lot of upside there. I'd be shocked if we didn't bring another tackle in the draft or free agency. Let alone multiple.

I thought Niang was pretty much locked in at Right Tackle.

They're still working on the tackle position but make no mistake, the timing of this deal suggest Thuney was their prime target all along.

100%, and it's easy to understand why :

Both SF and TB ate our line's assholes, and they did it right up the middle. The interior of our line was incredibly suspect.

Our tackles were great- TOO great, really. Fish and Schwartz (and even Remmers) actually covered up a lot of deficiencies along that interior line. So much that when Fish got hurt, any semblance of consistency or chemistry went with him.

When Fish got hurt in 2019, it almost derailed our season.

We can never have that much responsibility for the Oline rest on one person like that again.

We NEEDED to get tough in the middle. We NEED to be able to run the ball on 3rd and 1, 4th and 1, and do it consistently and without the opposing Dline 2 yards in the backfield as soon as the ball is snapped. We have seen that, as great as Mahomes is, he cannot do it all by himself.

I don't think Thuney is a downhill, power kind of blocker though. He's more of a pull blocker.

We finally has some stability at LG. I forget who brought up Brian Waters being our last stable LG, but that was an excellent point. The position has been a turnstile for a long time and the Chiefs just brought in one of the best there is. Once Williams is signed, we have the makings of a stellar O-Line going forward. Veach still has a few tricks up his sleeve.
