He is actually a big part of the problem. When one of your premier players is routinely showing up on film appearing to lack focus and effort, what kind of message is this sending to his teammates? Players and fans alike are far less tolerant of poor performance from a player that looks like a lack of focus and effort. Those are bedrock qualities the rest builds on. It is all about the basics.

We can't stop the run, and we cannot rush the passer. You can't expect our horrible secondary to cover their WR's for 4+ seconds every time.

Peters is a Raider in 2019... Shop him for a first or second and get some value before next year. His play has been far from elite. If you can't get a high pick, then hope he plays hard in his contract year.... enen then, unless we franchise him, he will not be a Chief in 2019.
