At the moment it's not. But the odds of a highly entertaining fight is way way way higher than boxing. I'd rather watch 2 nobodies have a good fight in MMA than 2 of the best fighters have a fight like that in boxing. I don't give a shit how much hype and how many celebrities are there.

It's a hell of a lot more interesting than watching a couple guys with 8 ounce padded gloves almost assuredly going 12 rounds with only a head and torso as legal targets.

Time for Khans glass jaw to meet Mayweather's glove.

redshirt32 05-02-2015 10:59 PM

Pacman gave him a run im sure he dident expect,

Run around killing time and holding with the arm lock and running with the mouth champion mayfeather

Mayweather did his damage up top

Although he also managed to hit Manny Pacquiao 34 times in the body, Floyd Mayweather had Pacquiao's head in mind. The champ landed 114 punches to the head, compared to the just 59 he absorbed.

I was shocked when I saw the size of the gloves. Did a double-take and remembered "oh yeah, they fight with pillows here. No wonder they can go 10-12 rounds"

Did anyone even bleed? Sorry I couldn't tell. None of my 35 slides really showed much.

Welp, I haven't watched a boxing match in 18 years, and that may be the last fight I ever see again. The heavyweights were kinda fun during the Tyson days, but I'm going back to MMA, where unlike boxing, aggression and controlling the center is actually part of the scoring criteria.

It finally makes sense to me why gay ass MMA nonsense is popular. It's not that it is any good, it just doesn't suck as ragingly bad as boxing does now. I will make slightly less fun of UFC fans now... slightly. :D

To those saying boxing is dead--
I don't follow it anymore, but how can it be dead when these PPVs are such huge events? Not just this one, but it seems like I'm always hearing about the PPV matches and they make a shit ton of $.

Seems like there might be less fans overall compared to the 80s when several boxers were household names, but someone is out there spending money to watch.

To me it looked like Floyd didn't even really consider him a challenge and only stood there and took a few flurries to make the fight seem a little competitive.

You can't milk the rematch if no one wants to see it...

I remember when I used to be a fan of boxing and didn't care about UFC. But sorry, that's totally changed now.

I think the SPORT is dead but the EVENT is alive. The true sports enthusiasts have moved on but they were replaced by people who watch E! and whatever shit the Kardashians are in.

This fight was literally the only fight anyone has cared about for half a decade now. What other boxing PPV's have you heard about?
