The word is that he has a "loose" shoulder, so I guess his tendons and ligaments in the shoulder area aren't what they should be. I really liked him and he performed well when given the chance in KC

The main thing about the spring was seeing if he was healthy. So far so good. Now gota see if he performs. He was one of those Royal pitchers that puzzled the Sox. He and Chen

Hosmer yesterday with the bases loaded is a perfect example of this.

Is he scheduled to start against the Royals this weekend?

My theory on it is that a player or even a team is able to experience an emotional and physical balance of the highest form at the same time When they do that, they're able to react to every situation with the best case scenario. (i.e. draining 3-pointers, NFL defenses and offenses appearing unstoppable, baseball offenses chaining hits, etc)

Most people would call this momentum, and while it can certainly be called the same thing, I call it the "zone", and when you're in that "zone", the only thing that can really knock you out of it is an emotional change, whether it's forced by something happening to you or the other team forcing it.

Anyway, just wondering what your thoughts are on this or if I'm totally smoking the aids tree.

I think being in the zone is more a matter of getting your head as out of the way as possible and letting muscle memory take over.

That's what all athletic endeavors really come down to... muscle memory.

I will. Good to see ya guys back and competitive. Hope ya guys do well. How did moose do yesterday? My main issue with KC is power and where it comes from.

Dont know but today at the Astros - Yankee game, Nolan Ryan threw out the first pitch and was about 8 ft inside. It was so off I thought he broke his arm or something.

Damn baseball is BORING. Stros up 6-0 through 5, and I cant wait till its OVER.

What a dumb way to start the season. Opening day, then day off. How anticlimactic.

Ya it sucks. It's a waste of an off day. Especially sucks if ya lose.

Jones being reasonable right now.

Just wait until we play the White Sox and he can remind us about their championship years ago. :D

We also don't have a night game until freaking Monday, which means I'll miss all of the Tigers series (save the few minutes I'll hear on the radio during lunch) and most of Friday's game because of work. Stupid.
