The fact that Mike Reiss keeps saying he thinks Pioli comes here makes me think it's really going to happen and happen soon.

That dude is in deep with the Pats, he doesn't post stuff just to post it.

With Brodie, it was obvious (and legit). Dude was always broken. With another young QB, it will be something else. His mechanics are all ****ed up, for example.

Some would say that others are already doing this with Thigpen, myself included. He's back-up material only in my book, but I could be calling this WAY too soon.

It's not just the QB position.

This fanbase has already declared Glenn Dorsey a bust.

I wonder if this type of premature reaction will change since Carl is gone?

There was such a negative stigma around him, that any decision that he was remotely involved in was deemed a failure immediately--I'm talking anything business to football related. Same with Herm, to a lesser extent.

The same people will now be posting with positive expectations, "Well, if Pioli wanted him..."

I dont think Glenn is a bust, so I must not be a fan.

You should have said "morons in the fanbase have already declared Glenn Dorsey a bust." I'm not saying he's perfect or that he looks like a stud yet or that he won't be a bust, but right now, he had an above average rookie year for a DT and will hopefully get better with better coaching next year!

The fan base has declared Gun and Krummy a bust, and rightly so.

No, you can still be a fan. You're just a good fan. He's not a bust yet. (He may be in the future even though I don't want it)

Yes, it is.

The majority of this fanbase has proclaimed Glenn Dorsey a bust.

I'm not saying everyone, but the patient folks are part of the minority, around here, other forums, the call-in shows and Arrowhead itself.

Fair enough.

This fanbase is littered with morons, so my point stands.

Do a poll and find out what the Planet thinks.

I think it's the Dorsey apologists that are trying to make this into a binary choice -- either Dorsey is a bust or not. The reality of the situation is that it's much too early to call Dorsey a bust, but it's not too early to say he's been a disappointment. Our front four sucked. Now most of us put a lot of the blame on Gun and Krumrie, but let's face it, if there was a re-draft, Dorsey wouldn't go nearly as high.

I hope so.

The negativity and impatience is overwhelming.

You can't change the past, you can only hope for the best for the future.

If it wasn't for bitching about the past, some of these folks wouldn't have a reason to breathe.

I'm patient with player development. I'm not patient with us not signing someone yet!
