It's Autumn here in Iowa and the Smallies are on!
It's so nice just to go down to the river 3 blocks away with my fly rod and get action. Water levels are so low that it is easy to target where they are going to be holding. I love fishing for Trout but in my opinion Smallies fight much harder.

Went out today on the west shore of Oahu. I caught 2 small mahis and a small yellowfin.

I have only gotten to go offshore deep sea fishing a couple times, but the real enjoyment was having a fish you caught nicely prepared and consumed.

It's only a few feet under the surface, but the fish come up. They trolled it about 25 to 50 yards behind the boat
