Notice: Look at the ****ing loser who has wasted WAY too much time!!!

OnTheWarpath15 01-13-2009 11:46 AM

I'm looking forward to this kind of patience while we're developing a franchise QB...

It's ****ing torture. Browns and Boncs got their coaches in less than a week.

I think it's a move by Pioli to find what's his price tag, if Kraft matches the offers that P gets. Then he's going back to NE. That what will happen.

Well this is good:

"Q: In light of recent events regarding coaching/personnel staff, is there any form of compensation due to the Patriots for losing Josh McDaniels, Scott Pioli (which is now looking likely) and potentially Dom Capers?
Dave, Mexico City

A: Dave, there is no compensation to the Patriots in the case of McDaniels, as he received a promotion. As I understand it, the same would be true for Pioli, who would have final-say authority over football decisions. Capers is not a compensation type situation either."

We wouldn't have to pay anything other than his contract!

i hate the fact that some people will literally hope something bad happens for the Chiefs just to watch all the fans be angry. :cuss:

That is a different story. It's a given in the NFL (and pretty much any other sport) that you wait to develop your players. But to hire a GM and wait this long?

I do not know, I think the 20 CP years we had made us impatient fans. I don't blame us a bit.

There will always be some mitigating circumstances to use as an excuse for some.

With Brodie, it was obvious (and legit). Dude was always broken. With another young QB, it will be something else. His mechanics are all ****ed up, for example.

Some would say that others are already doing this with Thigpen, myself included. He's back-up material only in my book, but I could be calling this WAY too soon.

No, really? That's only been a rule for a few years now.

RustShack 01-13-2009 11:49 AM

How many other teams have hired their GM already?

None of the GMs last season signed this early IIRC.

Oh, I don't think there are any posters who claim to be fans that want this.

Mecca, for example, draws a lot of ire for this, but I think it's misdirected.

We all want the same thing. Some of us are a bit more homerish than others.

I don't think we're gonna' get ANYTHING until Pioli AND the new HC are a done deal.

I look at it this way; it's a bunch of basketball shit I don't have to listen to on 810 everyday, crouched about the computer like some raging crackhead looking for a crumb.

If we draft Bradford, you'll be getting MUCH exercise of that particular variety.

Ever been to a 4-year aerobics class? Bring your water.

The interweb has done this to us. Imagine if the shit that went down in the movie Miracle happened now. We'd all know about it instantly. That shit actually went down during the night while most people in the US were sleeping, and was re-aired at like 7pm the next night. The entire country got to watch it and barely anyone knew the ending. Now, we know if anyone sneezes too loudly or doesn't wash their hands after using the bathroom.

We get the information so fast that we expect the decision process to also be really fast.

Nope.

Dimitroff was the first, a year ago today.

All hires took place this week last year, or later. Some not until the last week of January.
