That's fine.

Should be a reasonable figure. His type of player never generates a ton of interest and his platform season was arguably the worst of his career.

So probably a smart move, especially if/when Reed moves on.

DL coming together....

I mean...it's roughly the same as last year's but with a couple guys removed. And last year's DL pretty well sucked something awful.

So 'coming together' isn't exactly how I'd characterize it. There's a LOT of work left to do here to get to even adequate.

Nnadi coming back isn't a stunner, big run stuffing DT's don't get paid.

It's not coming together in a good way. The 29th rated pass rush minus Ingram is still something we would struggle to achieve at this point. So, you could say the Texan's offense is "coming together" but that doesn't mean it's getting better.

Everything they've done is fine if they're adding a DE1 but we all know those odds are slim.

It shouldnt take much to replace the production of Reed and Okafor

Depth signing behind Jones/Winfrey

Considering what the cabinet is missing I'd think the best approach is to target one off the better DT's in the draft (Wyatt) to pair with Jones. Instead of two beasts on the outside we work inside out.

We'll probably retain Clark and add two guys exactly like what you mentioned above and rely on the inside pressure to walk QB's to the outside where very average hunters can capitalize.

Concentrate on the FA or trade-up talent the following year. Unlike O line the D line requires high draft picks at 3 of the 4 spots.

What they’re doing with the DL is fine. They just need to grab 2-3 guys early on the draft.
