Loved by the masses... was honestly sad to see him go. I think many here would have liked to see him come back and get his shot for the team. He was arguably one of our best pitchers on the staff when given the opportunity. Hard throwing guy with good stuff, will walk his fair share of batters... team that with his injury history and that's why he's never really broken through at the majors for any major period of time. If he is able to fully come back from TJ surgery and pitch for you guys for an extended period... you'll like him... a lot. He misses a lot of bats.

Well, hopefully yesterday pissed them off. You just can't give up games like that when you have their ace down. Not going to get any easier tomorrow going against Scherzer.

It's funny how somebody trashes the Royals here, of all places. Like we have anything to be proud of with the Chiefs in the last...forever.

It's because we fear it's coming. And sadly, we've becoming pretty good at expecting the worst for our sports teams. They've conditioned us that way.

Tremendous stuff. Mid-90s heat, good slider.

Location and command come and go.

Has workhorse body but has not produced like a workhorse thus far.

I hope it didn't piss them off. Baseball players tend to do poorly when they get amped up.

This is one thing that NBA and NFL fans sometimes don't get, baseball is a very "cool" sport, the only way to survive is to never get too high after success and never get too low when you are struggling. You still need to be coachable and willing to adjust when things aren't going well, but this emotional stuff that works well in other sports is actually very destructive in baseball. The only thing I can think of where it may help is running the outfield or the bases. If you are fired up or angry, its harder to throw a pitch into the corner of a strike zone or to calmly recognize offspeed stuff while making sure you can still hit a fastball.

If we lose 20 games in April or May, then I'll be upset.

Fair enough. Replace "pissed off" with "motivates".
