I hope it didn't piss them off. Baseball players tend to do poorly when they get amped up.
This is one thing that NBA and NFL fans sometimes don't get, baseball is a very "cool" sport, the only way to survive is to never get too high after success and never get too low when you are struggling. You still need to be coachable and willing to adjust when things aren't going well, but this emotional stuff that works well in other sports is actually very destructive in baseball. The only thing I can think of where it may help is running the outfield or the bases. If you are fired up or angry, its harder to throw a pitch into the corner of a strike zone or to calmly recognize offspeed stuff while making sure you can still hit a fastball.
