Football, like fashion, runs in cycles.

Spags was hot, then his schemes were old, and now his wheelhouse of pressure and blitzes is back in fashion.

Great hire Spags is a great DC.

Even the blindest of homers couldn't have predicted just how outstanding Spags would become for us

I never made any comments when the hire happened but I did not think Spags was going to be able to turn around our D. I was thinking it would be a marginal improvement over ****ing Bob but man, he is just crushing it.

We are so blessed.

Oh yeah, I figured the D would become adequate, but not the overwhelming swarm of angry hornets we saw last night.

Pass heavy league + Spags' exotic blitz packages= Sex

It's working so well because he and Veach are at the front of new NFL defense.

In todays game you have to be massive up front so those guys can run defend without help. Your secondary needs to be extremely versatile for confusion, that's why what we do works.

It's getting to the point where he might have teams calling about becoming the HC.

Although Brady is now with the Bucs Spags has experience beating him in the Super Bowl. I think that's one of the reasons we hired Spags was because we had to beat Brady to get to the big game. Now that's changed and we have Spags coaching the D against Brady in the big game.

If I were him I'd stick around and ride the championship wave. Rack up the rings and have fun. He knows all too well how quickly you become a pariah if you're an HC for a bad organization. But maybe the temptation would still be there.

“I would love to do that (be a head coach) again, but I will preface by saying I’ve got a really good job right now and want to just hang on to the one I got,” he said. “I know how this league is. But that burning desire is there. If it’s in God’s plans, it’ll happen. And if not, I’m still a very fortunate man, very, very blessed.”

From an interview shortly after the Super Bowl.

Not so bad
