Time for a victory lap...of which there will be many in this thread.

Nick Jacobs had it first.

And you said KPass couldn’t beat tackles in a 4-3.

He did his best work on the inside. 4-sack season.

Good backup player for sure.

I want to see some shutouts next season! Sixty minutes of killer smothering DEFENSE! No more spotting the opponents double digits and putting it all on the offense to rally and comeback. A 53-0 final score would be nice. When was the last time the chiefs defense held an opponent scoreless? Answer: January 09, 2016 at Houston in the playoffs

Did anyone note the balls on Steve Spagnuolo?

He didn't sit back and let Josh Allen get comfortable. A week after Carr roasted him deep, it would have been very tempting to do that.

The Chiefs blitzed the shit out of Josh Allen tonight and he never got comfortable.

Spags is such a good ****ing coach.

RedRaider56 10-19-2020 07:53 PM

Called a pretty good game except for the WTF moment after the Kelce fumble
Damn near gave 3 points to Buffalo playing that soft defense at the end of the 1st half

Megatron96 10-19-2020 07:56 PM

Spags owned Josh Allen and the Bills today. turned a supposed MVP candidate into Daniel Jones. Shut down their run game. Made Diggs a non-factor.

I said it last season, Spags will have this defense ranked in the top 5 by season's end. Mark it down.

He's the Anti-Sutton. It's so nice to know that even if we have a bad series, quarter or half, the guy is gonna keep throwing new looks and schemes out there.

Of all the things I've been wrong about related to football, my disapproval of this hire ranks #1

After the game Damien Wilson said they hardly blitzed at all

The blitzes haven't been getting home the last couple weeks. We need guys to start winning their 1-on-1s.

They would have gotten to Allen several times last night but one, it was slippery as heck and two, Allen is a big boy that's pretty fast for his size.

Allen is a hoss, I won't deny it, but getting close is only good when it's good. A QB can throw a bad INT due to pressure, but he can also step up and throw a TD into pressure. We need to get home on these blitzes because our CBs outside of Snead really don't have the speed or ball skills to cover most receiving threats downfield.

We were applying a bit of pressure last night. It's hard to tell if that's what caused Allen's issues because of the weather and the fact that he's typically not very accurate anyway. I just saw too many blisters get stonewalled last night and last week against LV to be feeling great about our pass rush.

The got zero pressure last week. None. They got a lot of pressure last night, despite the lack of sacks. I get that it can be worrisome but last night's DL looked MUCH better than last week.

Chris Jones was an animal last night, for sure.

I think the Bills actually made a change at G because he was legitimately raping lol
