Here's my thing about pioli....if we didn't have him, would we be where we are today? Think about it. If we had a decent gm that gave us average to slightly above average win/losses, do we go out and hire a big name like Andy reid? Would Andy still come here if he cant make the GM decisions like he originally wanted?

I don't hate a lot of the guys that are generally hated around here like Marty. Carl Peterson though...he's probably #2. The best thing he did was bring in Vermeil so maybe he deserves #3 for that, I dunno. But who else would be in the equation?

I sort of lump the whole Herm & Pioli eras into one giant fireball of misery that I actively choose to forget.

I do remember one cool play in the Herm era against Tampa Bay where Tyler Thigpen handed a reverse to Mark Bradley and then caught a TD pass on a trick play. That was pretty sweet!

After the last game RAC was fired but Pioli still wasn't and IIRC interviewed the Falcons ST coordinator & someone else. For a few days after the season it seemed like that bastard was going to stay around.
