I think I am going to take some pills where I would sleep for 3 weeks then wake up to know about this Pioli shit. It's much easier than checking every single freaking sports website, refreshing this thread ever and ever again.
I swear to god I would wake up in the midst of my sleep for nothing else but to check sports.yahoo.com and this thread to see if we tagged this sucker. Oh, I love to Chiefs too much. |

like steelers hate dungver hate faiders dislike Ravens (mainly because Ray Lewis is an arrogant ass) root against Dallas,NY Giant (mostly because i don't like Texas or New York) temporarily root against any team that wins too much. temporarily root against anyone with a Manning or a Favre on their roster. (just get sick of hearing about them) everyone else is "meh" |

Which is why it is important for KC to try to make a decision within the next 2 weeks so that next years staff can get to the Senior Bowl. |

Also, Amnorix, what's the view of McDaniels up there? He gets mentioned along with Ferentz as the top two candidates should Pioli take a GM job. |
From PFT:
We continue to be flooded with e-mails from folks who claim that Pats V.P. of player personnel Scott Pioli soon will be introduced as the new G.M. of the Kansas City Chiefs. Though it’s our general understanding that these reports are premature at best, the tight lid that the Chiefs have kept on the situation makes it very hard to know precisely what in the hell is going on out there. Len Dawson, formerly of the Chiefs and currently of KMBC-TV in Kansas City, generally cites “reports around the country” indicating that Pioli will be hired by the Chiefs before pointing out only the Eagle Tribune (your guess is as good as ours . . . actually, it’s in North Andover, Massachusetts) in support of the notion that the deal is done, and that the only step remaining is for Pioli to sign the contract. Also, 610 Sports radio in Kansas City reported on Wednesday that the Chiefs have offered the G.M. job to Pioli. Still, neither the Chiefs nor Pioli have said anything about the situation. Other candidates are believed to be Mark Dominik of the Buccaneers and Jimmy Raye of the Chargers. |
I wish they would get this done already either way the suspense is not doing my heart any good.

OK I have read this entire thread. But not one word about his watch. I'm dying with curiosity. Is it the only one of its kind. If not why does it deserve a thread?

Ed Hartwell reports: Pioli to sign within 48 hours.
|
If Pioli reads this thread and knows how much KC fans are looking forward to him being our GM, he'd sign blindly. oh and **** Elway.
I am not trying to highjack anybody's thread but I really do hate the ****ing smirk in his face. http://espycollection.shazamm.net/im...john_elway.jpg |

As much as I dislike Herm, it really isn't fair to keep him and his entire staff hanging in the wind like this. |
Quote:
Clark said that he had a long list of people he wanted to talk to, and that while possible, it's unlikely that Clark would be overwhelmed by the first candidate he met with. Also thinks that Herm is out the door, and that becomes even more likely the longer this takes. Mentioned Carl's comment during his press conference that Herm's future isn't a decision he has to make, and he's glad it's not. (meaning Carl knows he'd have to fire Herm) |
Pioli + Shannahan = Superbowls.

OMG!!!1 Breaking Newzzz.... From the coalition website: Interesting take on Pioli from the Boston Globe chat area: Update from someone inside the Chiefs organization! Submitted by Rocky Alden on January 7, 2009 - 6:13pm. Okay gang, as many of you know I still have friends at the highest level in the Chiefs organization and have this info to share with full confidence: Scott Pioli is the new GM. His announcement will come Thursday or Friday at the latest. Clark and Scott are working out the finer points of his contract tonight (money & control), but the deal is sealed. Also, Clark informed Herm Edwards and his coaching staff that they will be released. All assistants can reapply through Scott. I only share this information because I'm no longer with the team and it's fun to share that a new day is dawning at Arrowhead. Scott Pioli will quickly move to clean out the front office and hire a new coach. The only info I have on the new coach is it will not be Kirk Ferentz from the Iowa Hawkeyes. Kirk coaches his son at Iowa and does not want to leave until his son graduates. Mike Shanahan has contacted Pioli, but I don't know any info beyond that. |
At this point I'm less interested in knowing when we sign Pioli than I am about how quickly you guys want him out of town?

I don't think WPI has broken anything that big. But its not really their fault. They can't go real negative on the chiefs or they will lose their access. And they can't provide info that was given in confidence or they will lose that source. Only the local newspapers and TV/Radio can be negative and keep their credentials. |

kcnut broke that one. |
