I think people are underappreciating the Texans DB's as to how good they really are, which effectively neutralized the receivers.

Their weakness was the middle of the field, and Travis being Travis exploited that. Not too concerned about the WR's being little to non-existent.

Or maybe another consideration should be taken is that they respect Hop and/or Hollywood too much, that allowed Travis to have the one-on-one matchups? Either way, it's pick your poison.

I still don't understand why we are playing Johnson over Williams at CB.

Eh, chiefs had the least amount of passing yards against the Texans since week 8 when they faced the Anthony Richardson colts. The passing offense was awful yesterday, no excuses.

Yeah I agree with this, too actually! 4 ****ing snaps is way too little. He needs about 12-15 so that he can actually contribute.

Wait, what? You of all people want Justin Watson to get more snaps?

Who are you, and what have you done with the real dilphag9?

Not washed. Hollywood didn’t do anything either. Is he washed? Texans defense dictated what we could do. We just decided to take what was there with our oline situation and not press things, Texans defense been feasting on turnovers lately and that’s what we were avoiding.

Hollywood was open on that first drive Mahomes missed the throw. Hollywood also dropped a 60 yard pass too. Hopkins was invisible because hes at the end of the road

ya Stingley was all pro and I guess they just locked our WR's down. Pat only completed passes to 4 people, Worthy being the only receiver to do anything at all.

But Kelce was open, that probably factored into that.

Short field

pugsnotdrugs19 01-19-2025 05:24 PM

It’s very clear they want the speed of Worthy and Brown out there as much as possible.

But it’s odd that Hopkins played less than JuJu. Hope he’s ok.

Bump 01-19-2025 05:27 PM

It is odd that he didn't play much at all.

I doubt he's coming back next year tbh, maybe we can bring in Brown on the same deal he had this year or something.

I respectfully disagree. Houston has elite cornerback duo of Derek Stingley Jr. and Kamari Lassiter as well as the edge rushers of Anderson Jr. and Hunter. The Chiefs instead went to pick on slot cornerback Myles Bryant and linebackers To'oTo'o and Al-Shaair.

It was a great game plan, and it was conditional on having an elite pass-catching tight end, which Kelce is.

I have always said that I don't mind Justin Watson when he is getting 20-30% of the snaps and that's when we get the best value from him. I have a problem when he's playing over 65% of the snaps.

dlphg9 01-22-2025 02:37 PM

The only thing I can think is that Hopkin's knee is hurting him.

I just think they like Hollywood and Worthy more than him. I think they love JuJus (and Watsons) blocking to have him in on alot of plays where he isn't the top option.

There is no reason to believe he is injured. And it is a disservice for the media to keep citing his grade 2 MCL tear from October. A grade 2 MCL tear is a 4 to 6 week injury and does not usually need surgery. Its possible he injured something else but his MCL probably healed long ago.

O.city 01-22-2025 04:05 PM

DHop ran an out route and it just looked slowwwwww

He's either hurt or cooked.
