So, Clark needs to get Toney approved to play while in the chair.

Yeah I think he's going to be good for us. Especially if Toney misses time.

Toney will be injured every damn month.

Nick Jacobs predicts we trade Clyde, Bushman makes it over Bell and John Ross makes it as WR7 over Justyn Ross

I think he's going to be our leading WR barring Toney staying healthy or Rashee Rice just being an absolute monster

This team may have a problem on their hands at receiver.

I just don’t see how this current group is going to be good enough to get it done. Especially with Toney constantly hurt.

kelce 1300 yards
MVS 800 yards
toney 600 yards
james 500 yards
skyy 400 yards
rice 300 yards

those are conservative estimates for toney and skyy and you come out with 3900 yards from the top six receivers (no backs or TEs other than kelce)

last year with juju the chiefs top six receivers generated 3,820 receiving yards

there isn't going to be a dropoff unless there's an injury to MVS or Kelce

this offseason the chiefs rolled the dice that Toney/James/Skyy/Rice would be better than JuJu/Hardman/Watson/Skyy (R) and I think they will be.

JuJu > Toney
James > Hardman
Skyy > Watson
Rice > Skyy (R)

Dante84 07-23-2023 01:15 PM

The way I see it, we are loaded at WR.

Not stars (yet), but legitimately 4-5 guys who have WR2 skills (Toney, MVS, Skyy, James, Rice) and 1-3 with WR1 potential (Toney, Skyy, Rice). That doesn’t even account for the Justyn Ross wild card.

The worst guys in the room are WR3 guys (Watson, John Ross)

Well, that’s disappointing, though not surprising. Hopefully KT still starts Week 1.

First week?

Lol try first day.

RunKC 07-23-2023 01:31 PM

It's gonna be the same as last year. There isn't a true #1 WR here (Toney can't stay healthy). It's a WR room filled with a bunch of WR2 and WR3 caliber guys that are all complimentary players.

That's fine for now. Kelce is the true WR1 as a TE
