WRONG! Check out Clyde Edwards-Helaire - his games against Georgia, Alabama, Oklahoma and Clemson speak for themselves. He should be the pick if available and NO if a serious CB or LB is available at 32.

I love CEH. Just think his value is a bit later.

We have no buisness taking a RB in the first round.

See above

Upgrading the center/guard spot while ignoring the RB position would be insanely dumb.

You want to give Mahomes more time? Get him a feature back.

No........ No 1st round running backs at 32 are worth the "value" of that pick. Chiefs are weak at C and/or LG, and desperately need help at LB. If you must have a RB, then trade back into the 2nd rd, get an additional pick, get your LB in the early 2nd, RB at #63, and look for help in the 3rd at G/C/CB/WR

To me it's real simple. Best OL or best DB. That where we are weakest.

That’s an awful way to approach the start of our draft, especially given our situation.

It’s BPA outside of QB.

KCJake 04-11-2020 09:28 PM

If there's quality offensive lineman available I think that's gotta be priority. After that, linebacker. If we keep Mahomes upright, I don't see why we can't repeat.

BigChiefFan 04-11-2020 10:08 PM

Short of one the top OT’s falling to 32, I don’t see us drafting an O-Lineman in the first round. We drafted Allegretti, last year, traded for Rankin, and we brought in Remmers in FA.

What about LB? We don’t have a replacement for Ragland

UChieffyBugger 04-12-2020 12:59 AM

IMO I'm taking an LB or maybe one of those hybrid safeties with the first. Other than that I'm trading back. I think Clyde-Edwards and Dobbins are probably there when we pick again in the second round and that's where I'm getting one of those.

Chargem 04-12-2020 05:44 AM

My secret hope in the 1st round is one of the WRs from this class, maybe a Denzel Mims although I don't think the Chiefs have met with him so seems unlikely.

Actually a positive about taking a rb at 32 would be you get 4 or 5 cheap years then let someone overpay him

If Queen or Murray are there I bet we run the card in.

The next lb to consider would be Malik Harrison in the 2nd somewhere.

At #32, would still be more expensive than Damien Williams current contract probably.

If you're thinking purely about cost, then the positions that get paid more in FA are the ones you should value more in the first rounds of the draft.

This is correct.
BPA is Best Player Available that fits a position of need as well as positional value and round value.
The positions that are normally considered 1st round value are QB, LT, Pass Rusher, CB.
