Don't think I can at that point. He was already a raw prospect being drafted high based on his incredible athleticism, who needed development. Now that development gets put on hold for all of this year? Rough.

He would have to fall to round 4 or later for me to pull the trigger for KC, and I doubt that these teams rebuilding, with huge numbers of picks, let that happen.

A safety in the 1st? Thats stupid as hell considering our DL bullshit.

Agreed. If D Wyatt and J Williams are gone I'd be inclined to take this offer.

Same, but I'd take him in the 2nd.

You take Ojabo no later than the 2nd round. These athletes are coming back faster from these big injuries.

Couch-Potato 03-19-2022 08:46 AM

1st RD Wyatt
2nd RD Ojabo

Wouldn't hate it.

duncan_idaho 03-19-2022 08:51 AM

I just don't think it's wise or really in line with where the Chiefs are to take a guy in round 2 you know you're getting absolutely nothing from this year (best-case, he can practice in December, I guess) in a really deep draft.

Especially when that guy was ALREADY raw and in need of development.

I agree with you I wouldn't love it in the 2nd, but I wouldn't hate it - with Mahomes I am always thinking long term dynasty builidng at this point, so him missing a year not as much of a concern for me.

3rd onwards would feel like a steal, but no way he lasts that long, wouldn't be surprised if someone takes in the first.

Welp, might as well sign Melvin Ingram and draft 2 edge rushers.

This pretty much locks edge rusher in with one of our first 2 picks, and likely in the 1st.

I wonder if ZaDarius is obtainable... the kind of money he almost signed with the Ravens for would be a pretty good deal

The problem is….is why did he back out of that deal? If it was because of money then he won’t be signing with us. If it was because of contract language…then maybe.

I think that’s a great plan but I would also entertain Lorenzo Carter on top of that.

I think we go DE and corner with our first 2 picks

I would take Ojabo in the second. He will be back practicing in six months. It’s hard to find premium talent at this pass rusher when you’re always picking late.
