I assume folks are watching Severance. Terrific show thus far.

There's an entire thread about it. :)

That was the best episode of "The Righteous Gemstones" in a long time. ROFL

Time to turn a bitch out.

its clay, he probably felt personally attacked watching it.

but yeah, i just finished it and **** me. that might be the best series i have seen since season 1 of severance and i very rarely give high praise for anything these days... if you have not watched adolescence, you need to, hell just for the cinematography alone.

ThrobProng 03-31-2025 11:52 AM

Adolescence was very well done, and was not what I was expecting.

Spoiler!

I don't know if this belongs here because it's only 6 episodes, but it's TV, so WTF. American Primeval is really ****ing good.

I can't really point out as to a reason why. Other than I was super engaged with the characters. I thought I was going to hate Betty Gilpin's character. And Taylor Kitsch has let me down in the past. But I really did give a shit. Same with the Shashone crew. I cared less about the Pratt crew caught in the crossfire, and the mormons were the big bads, but they were at least interesting and nuanced. Oh and Shae Willingham is a goddamned national treasure. Dude is great in everything he's in and gets almost no credit for anything. But I'm here.

This one stuck with me awhile. It's a hard life it's portraying, but it's a damn good watch.

Spoiler!

Watch this one. Don't expect lighthearted fun, but it is damn good television.

Carrie Coon getting railed was a welcome surprise. She's held together very nicely.

She's married to the guy who played Henry Ford in Ford vs. Ferrari. And that guy's evidently a MASSIVE playwright. Doesn't do a ton of acting but is evidently an exceptional writer.

I’ve been a fan of his since The Pretender on NBC.

Finished season 3 of The Bear. I have to admit, I'm losing interest. Too much weird emotional shit, not enough restaurant stuff.

I read somewhere it was supposed to be 3 seasons FX convinced them to stretch it to 4.

Opening day and the final episode were amazing television nonetheless.

I’m still in.

The Bondsman looks like it has potential. Almost looks like a cross between the Evil Dead and Constantine.

I feel like everything since the opening day episode has been getting progressively worse. It seems like they want to lean in to each individual's personal trauma related to that day. So anticlimactic.
